Mui Ne in southern Vietnam is Southeast Asia's most established kitesurf destination. The NE monsoon from November to April delivers reliable side-shore winds, warm water (28°C), and golden sand dunes as a backdrop. The kite area is a long beach stretch with multiple schools and camps. Affordable, accessible, and with a strong international kite community.
Fishing boats use the same area — stay alert especially in the morning. Choppy conditions can develop quickly with strong NE wind. Season ends abruptly in May when SW monsoon brings rain.200 km from Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), 4h by bus or 40 min by domestic flight to Phan Thiet Airport.
