Paje Beach – Zanzibar
Zanzibar, Tanzania·Kitesurf
Débutant Plat 12–40 km/h
Paje Beach on the east coast of Zanzibar is one of Africa's most sought-after kite destinations. A wide, shallow coral-sand flat extends hundreds of metres offshore at low tide, offering pristine flat-water conditions. Two Kaskazi (NE) and Kusi (SE) monsoon seasons provide reliable wind twice a year. The laid-back Swahili village atmosphere, white sand, and warm Indian Ocean water make it an irresistible destination.
Access to the flat restricted at high tide. Sea urchins on the reef edge. Boat traffic from local fishing dhows. Wind can drop suddenly during transition seasons.50 km south of Stone Town (Zanzibar City) on the east coast. 1h30 drive on tarmac road. Flights to Zanzibar (ZNZ) from Dar es Salaam, Nairobi, and direct from Europe.
