Jericoacoara ('Jeri') is one of the world's most beautiful kite destinations — a remote village in the dunes of northeast Brazil with no paved roads. The SE trade winds power long downwinders across turquoise lagoons. The spectacular Lagoa do Paraíso (a freshwater lagoon surrounded by dunes) and Lagoa Azul offer world-class flat-water sessions. The famous sunsets over the dune are a daily ritual.

Remote location — medical care limited. Sandstorms reduce visibility. Lagoon access requires quad or buggy transport.4h bus from Fortaleza or domestic flight to Jijoca de Jericoacoara (JJD). Last 20 km via 4WD only on beach and dune tracks.
