Known as the 'Wind City of Africa', Essaouira has been a kitesurfing hotspot since the early days of the sport. The Alizé wind — a NNE trade wind — blows almost daily from spring to late summer, often reaching 30+ knots in the afternoon. The town is a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage medina and adds a unique cultural experience to the kite trip.
